Following an incredibly lucrative run in theaters where it banked more than $1.3 billion, The Super Mario Bros. Movie is coming to streaming next month. The animated film will debut exclusively on Peacock in the US on August 3.
A release on Peacock was always expected because production company Universal and Peacock share the same parent company in NBC Universal.
In addition to the movie itself, the Peacock release will include a “Field Guide” that includes a range of bonus features like cast interviews and more, according to Deadline. The Super Mario Bros. Movie is currently available to buy or rent digitally, but August 3 will be the first time that you can stream the film without paying extra.
